After deliberating for five hours Friday, a jury of five women and three men found Christopher Scott Thunborg, 24, not guilty of killing his live-in girlfriend's 13-month-old son.
Man's best friend has taken $250,000 of narcotics off the streets of Orem in the past seven years.
Investigators remained very tight-lipped Wednesday, two days after a retired BYU professor was killed inside his home.

A man and his girlfriend are dead after an early morning stand-off ended in an apparent murder-suicide Saturday in West Jordan.
Max Hall completed 19 of his first 22 passes for three touchdowns on Air Force's nationally-ranked No. 1 pass defense to push BYU to a 24-7 lead at the half in LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday.
