Rich people talk like they do. If you go to Rich and ride around the town of Rich, who could blame them for trying to build themselves up a little. It's a nice little town though.

I have to disagree. At least Altamont is willing to play Rich every year. They definately have guts and the Rebels will not score 40 points in the first half this week. Mick has a good point in the article when saying he had two punts for 10 yards and 4 turnovers in the first half. Everyone needs to consider that. Altamont was willing to play the Rebels. Kanab was not this year. I am sure they will again when Rich is not as loaded. Go Rebels!

The reason Altamont is willing to play Rich is because they are 1A and in Rich's region. They had to play Rich. Kanab decided to Schedule some teams that would give them a good game instead of a team that they would kill. I want to know where this Kanab didnt schedule Rich came from anyway. Did you ever think that Rich didnt schedule Kanab because they didnt want to give up a undefeated season.

Kanab? What do you do in Kanab? Any good Ranches? Any great wakeboarding or water skiing? Snow Skiing? How far are you from a major town with a store? It is just a gas station on your way to Lake Powell that has a pretty descent football program that did not want to play Rich this year and you know very well you would have had a very good game at best, at worse you may have gotten a whoopin.

Rich has a very good football team this year. They would be very competitive in 2a. Rich could probably make the quaterfinals maybe the semis. But after this senior class is gone they would be a poor to mediocore 2a team, but a very good 1a team. Be glad you are 1a and leave kanab alone.

It is very obvious here why people have a hard time with Rich. Pretty good programs, but the unsportsmanlike comments, actions, and attitude seem to permeate that community.

I have personaly seen this. Coach Brown, on the other hand, is one of the most classy guys I have met. The rest of the you who have so much to say should follow his example.

By the way, Even on a bad day Kanab by 3 touchdowns.(In the First Half)

Some of these comments are pathetic. They are obviously not players, but people trying to make the team look unclassy. That or fans but none of the players are saying this so please save it for the game. Plus it doesn't matter what would've happened against Kanab so let it go. Anyways good luck Rebels!

I have coached against Rich in the past and I just have to say that this is one very classy team with a classy coach. If you doubt their class go read the article when they played Whitehorse. Great story and Rich has some great kids on their team. I know Coach Brown and he is a great coach and teaches class to his team. Yes 1A is a little weaker now with Parowan, Kanab, Enterprise, and North Sevier gone but Rich deserves the credit they are getting. They are a great team and don't let the fact that 1A is a little down take that away from their success. I guarantee if 1A football had the same teams in it as years past then Rich would still be the team to beat. Good Luck to all four teams left in the playoffs.

Kanab is bigger than Randolf we are obviously big enough to have seperate schools in our county. You cant honestly think that you could beat Kanab when you have nothing to back it up. Now if i said that Kanab could beat Rich, I would have a 5-0 record in 4 years. The only reason this team is remotely good is because 1A is weak. Their is no way they would have this record or even close to this record in 2A.

If Rich is so tough. Why didnt they play up in 2A. Why didnt they schedule any 2A teams like Kanab. It sounds like they are the ones who ran scared.

As i've said before; the top four teams in any sport in 1A could compete very nicely in 2A. But after that; not so much.
The UHSSA really needs to force all 1A teams to play 2A football. This would make the champioship more meaningful to all teams.

you might wanna spell randolph right. and rich high is a 1A school, so there for we are going to play 1A teams makes sense huh. we woulda played 2A schools but this year it didnt work out. not because we were scared not because 2A schools didnt want to cuz because . so lets go rebels!! go win the 1A state title

For three and a half quarters last year the Rebels whipped up on Kanab. Yes Kanab won, end of story. They won against a team that was full of Juniors. All of them are at least 10 pounds larger and more experience. They beat every 2A team they played in Wyoming and Utah. They tried to schedule Kanab, South Summit, and every other 2A team they could get in touch with and were turned down everytime. Just the facts that know one can change. To say that The Rebels this year could not beat Kanab is absolutely a rediculous claim. yeah, anything can happen in a game so they may not beat Kanab 10 out of 10 games but they would win more than they would loose over a ten game schedule. If Kanab did not know this is true, they would not comment on this subject so much. They remember last year and felt very lucky to come out of that one with a win. They are a good program and should be proud but definately would have the odds against them this year with the Rebels.

It has been a few years since walking the halls in Randolph. In fact, it was still North & South Rich back then. I like to check in to see how the kids are doing & they always seem to be doing pretty dang good, no matter the sport. Glad to here one of the players comments ealier about all the "smack" being talked. For some reason, the people that know the least about the sport(and sportsmanship)seem to make the greatest effort to have their opinions heard (no matter how embarrassing it is to the kids playing). For all the "old schoolers" out there, can you imagine what L.K. Larsen would think! Anyway, GO REB's!!!! Play proud.

nothin wrong with a 1a school. I dunno what that wakeboarding skiing and ranch comment was all about but im pretty sure theres more ranches down here than up there. have one myself. lake powell takes all the northern utahns away from bear lake too. thought this was a football thing. Randolph and woodruff are nice places. Kanabs a nice place, little prettier, warmer, better football program. fact is rich your about 8 hours away, sounds like you got a pretty good team this year and you probably feel like it was your chance to beat us since we're in a down year. But you cried and cried and cried about Kanab bein in 1a and havin to play em. Now we are gone. We are thru with you. Dont text us dont call us. done. have a nice life. the better footballs down here so thats who we schedule. are there any good ranches down here? good heck. its the Kanab Cowboys. what do you think?

Just the facts? Or what a coach told some kid's to help motivate them? I know for a FACT that not every 2A school was contacted by Rich's AD and or Coach to schedule a game for this season. Get your FACTS straight before you start calling people out and making erroneous claims. Besides anyone who knows anything about scheduling athletic events would know most schedules are made up to a year in advance. That FACT makes it more difficult to pick up a game on short notice unless a team on your schedule cancels. Those my friend are just some of the FACTS!

Rebels went down to K-town lookin for some glory to steal. But tell ya what Rebels, just come on back if you ever want to try again cuz we told ya 5 times ya sons a guns, WE'RE the best that's EVER BEEN! so you have fun up there in northern utah cryin and we'll just stay down hear havin sweet Johnson Canyon saturday nights,laid up in a country state a mind somewhere between raising heck and amazing Grace. Wow! I have got to say, I am really shocked but even more disapointed by all the trash talk that goes on now days. If you have been around small school sports (1A/2A), you should realize that any given year could be the difference between being a contender & being at the bottom! Coach used to tell us, "shut up & play, let your actions speak for themselves". Wish that some of you opinionated folks would take heed to that good advice!
