This looks like a good game, but I think SJ will handle them on D. If SJ can get on track early and thier QB is throwing well this could be a blow out.
my guess (and its a guess) SJ 21 SS 7

2A State Championship at ALTA high School???

If this is true, it is ridiculous and USHAA should be ashamed.

Let the boys earn the right to play somewhere memorable...No offense to Alta, but I think you know what I'm talking about.

yea I don't think SJ has a chance of defending Bishoff cause he really tore us up last year when we beat them what was it 39-7
2A fan | 10:51 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009
I have followed 2A this year and have seen many good teams. I Will tell you one thing. This game wont disapoint anyone and San Juan will end up on top and JD Books will finally be able to close his mouth.
replyJD | 10:57 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009
JD, the only way you bet San Juan 35-7 is if the Bronc's bus breaks down and they don't get to Cedar City. The Broncs will win 28 to 10 going away. The broncs have the athletes to stay with Bischoff and since you haven't noticed yet this year it takes 11 players on each side of the ball to make a football team...not a q-back and a receiver. The broncs are deep and balanced and will beat your rams easily.
RE:JD books | 10:57 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009
haha the trophy is granite and you lost to enterprise grand beat enterprise 28-14 san juan beat grand. s. sevier is done. be ready to turnin your pads on monday
re: jd books | 11:14 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009
jd i am a huge fan of this south sevier team and i go to all the games and on behalf of every ss fan and every 2A fan in the state please shut up and let the players do their talking on the field. all you do is try to make people riled up and its really annoying. if your a real fan go to the game and cheer for them but stay off the blogs. the accomplishments of this great team are being ruined because of your trash talk so please either stop the trash or stay off the computer
2A Slight | 12:12 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
I agree that the 2A gets slighted! Alta high school is a great venue, but 3,4 and 5a get to play at the U. Come on UHSAA, we know you have no respect for 1A and 2A football. Why can't we play the championship at a better venue? You guys sit in your fat offices and could care less about 1a and 2a, we are just an afterthought and a bother.
Big Green Tractor | 12:19 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
South Sevier has had an alright season, but they havne't played any teams like South Summit or San Juan yet. I expect this to be a high scoring game....for San Juan. South Sevier just doesn't have the defense to keep them from scoring. Even though South Sevier has an alright offense, they are going to be having their hands full....and their favorite target will be shut down. Here is my prediction:

San Juan 40 South Sevier 17
kcboys | 12:31 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
while i am pulling for ss go get the win cause they're the only team in our region left i honesty cant make a prediction on this game. its going to be a defensive battle all the way. ss will do a good job of stopping san juans running game which is their bread and butter and san juan has the best D we played all year. turnovers and big plays is whats going to decide this one. good luck ss. hope you go all the way.
Me, Myself and I | 12:39 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
JD wear a shirt saying "The Real JD" on the front and "Authorized" on the back. No matter the outcome of the game we can go to the Pizza Factory and have some good food. I know there are a lot of 2A fans who would love to meet the Real JD Authorized!!!
SS RAMS #1 | 12:40 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
I think this game this weekend is going to be good, but I honestly think South Sevier is going to win. San Juan has been talked up all year and I just dont think they are that good. We will win this weekend and I dont know if San Juan will even have over a 150 yards of offense. This RAM team is on a mission and we will succeed.
What I don't get | 12:41 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
is why do two teams from southeast utah, and one from northern utah have to travel all the way to southwestern utah. Certainly there are closer football fields than SUU. They should look at what teams will be playing each other and try to pick a venue that is more central than something on the opposite end of the state. GET IT TOGETHER
South Sevier Fan | 12:49 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Does anyone know when those three wins came for South Sevier. I dont know the last time we beat the Broncos. It had to have been in the 70's or before.
ss fan | 12:57 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Lets go boys and show them what you are made of. Sure San Juan has a good team but, anyone can be beaten on any given day. At this point in time a costly turnover could beat either team. Play mistake free and play with heart and we will see what happens at the end of the game. Do your talking on the field and play like champions!!!
GO RAMS
Anonymous | 1:02 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
SJ will win there`s NO CHANCE that SS will come off with the win. SJ has a TOUGH D-Fense, and they a good strong Offense, if their QB can do well in the first half then i think it will be a blow OUT
Juan Diego | 1:03 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009

RE: South Sevier Fan | 1:04 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
I'm with you I grew up in Blanding and went to San Juan High. I don't ever remember losing to the Rams. Had to be in the 70's or earlier.
v for vendeta | 1:11 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
san juan 34-s sevier. 16. there is no way shape for form s sevier gets any closer than this. this is new to s sevier to be this far in the playoffs. they will choke and get run over flat. san juan has alot of experience in the playoffs as does their coach. now i'll wait for jd brooks to make some comment that will make me laugh. bottom line san juan has the experience in the playoffs specially the semi finals. s sevier i think the longest they have made it is the quarter finals. and on top of everthing else s sevier is NOT A FOOTBALL SCHOOL, just because of one good year? no no no no. there already showing signs of being weak with the way they played against enterprise(lost) and a weak parawon team. i look forward to san juan killing this dream that s sevier has of thinking there a football program with tradition. b ball on the other hand i will let you have. take the facts people.
Go Teams!!! | 1:12 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
I was at the SJ/Kanab game and SJ looked tired and out of shape. If they do not come looking to play then they are not going to win anything. SJ has a state championship team, but so does South Sevier and South Summit. It is going to be a defensive game I think. Watch out for South Summit though, they have a studly team and played well at San Juan. San Juan can run, but their passing is another thing. If SJ does not show up to play all aspects of the game then they are in for a loss. San Juan should pull out on top, but only time will tell.
SJ 21 SS 7
Anonymous | 1:12 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
This game will be like the South Summit Millard game. The west thought they were good and the east will shut them up. Things could change next year but the top half of the east is far above the top half of the west. SJ by a minumum of 21
SJREDD | 1:18 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
San Juan has no answer for Bishoff, never has, never will. They have no answer for the Ram Defense or Offense. They are toast. Rams by 17!!
SJ | 1:27 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
maybe the south sevier football team will do a little better than the volleyball team they were talked up all year but where were they at the state tourney?
Rams | 1:29 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Look at San Juan doing all their talking. They better show up for a hungry ram team. We are re focused after that Enterprise loss and we are ready to take it to anyone that gets in our way. I predict a one point win for South Sevier.
Looking Forward | 1:32 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Alta will host South Summit vs South Sevier for the 2A Championship.
Re South Sevier Fan | 1:57 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009

Since an impostor is posting stuff that is not authorized, I thought I would post now. I was not going to post this week but the impostor basically forced my hand. Sorry, so called SS fans.
I predict that So. Summit will beat Grand 21-7.
I predict SS will beat San Juan 30-24.
South Sevier has too many weapons to cover at one time and the coaching staff has corrected any defensive deficiencies. I continue to hear about this great SJ football tradition. I agree that the tradition factor is on SJ side but no time like the present for SS to break through and start its own tradition of winning.
I have been belittled on this blog for just being a fan and talking positively about the rams.
No matter what happens on Saturday, the rams have had a season for the ages.
Go Rams!

A decent post from Mr. JD Books.
JD Books | 2:36 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
This is the real JD Books. The post at 1:59 p.m. was not authorized. South Summit will beat Grand 48-0 Millard is better than Grand so the score should be more of a blow-out. South Sevier will beat the paper tigers 35-7 sorry SJ your tradition can't win agianst Destiny. Mcallister is a former Cowboy and is not happy that you beat out his friend Bucky. Kanab has usually owned SJ so Mcallister knows how to beat you.

We will see South Sevier at Alta High School on the 14th at 11:00.
to Re South Sevier Fan | 2:39 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009

boo south sevier
Another SJ fan | 3:00 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
I love my team and have watched many of their games but I can say that if SJ comes out as flat offensively as they did against Kanab then there will be two SS teams playing for the state title. If SJ plays like they have in any other game then it will be a game worth watching! Congrats to both teams on outstanding seasons and may the best team win! GO SJ!
Captain | 3:01 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Even though I am a western region guy, i will have to pick San Juan. There are 3 parts to a football game, Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. SS offense might be good enough to match up to SJ defense but i doubt it, they have a good fullback, a good reciver and a mediocre QB. SJ defense has the leading tackler in the state 1A-5A at defensive tackle and some great linebackers. It should be a good battle. San Juans offense will tear through the SS defense without many problems. San Juans special teams is the best in 2A maybe even 3A. Bischoff better kick it in the Endzone and not muff punt returns if they expect to win the special teams battle. I pick San Juan by a touchdown. Who knows maybe SS will pull it out to make it to the finals. They do have 2 Cowboys on their coaching staff.
re jd books | 3:05 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
If south sevier gives up 24 to San Juan they're toast. And, not even south summit who is much better than y'all could score 20 on San Juan. So much for knowing the game and how to predict the score. Better wait and see what parry has to say it will be alot more informative.
To JD Books @ 2:36 | 3:08 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Now that sounds more like the real JD Books. There is no possible way you would ever beat SJ by that much. SJ has more than enough weapons to stop you on offense and more that enough weapons to beat your defense. Lets be real. I hope you guys represent the western region with pride, and I will be rooting for SS. Coach Mcallister is a Cowboy and i hope that Cowboy tradition helps him pull one out.
Cowboy to SJ fan at 3:00 | 3:28 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
SJ did not come out flat. Kanabs Defense came out strong and took it to them. San Juan took advantage of a few more opportunities than Kanab and won the game. San Juan and Kanab both came out hard.
SJ | 3:57 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Man i wish South sevier had some class..... Seems like they own these blogs year after year talkin smack thinkin there the top dogg its gettin on my nerves! Please Have some class i mean we all know your the greatest team in the state but leave the talking on the field. Re: JD Books | 4:15 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
You have it wrong my friend actually we have owned Kanab. The last 15 times we have played we are 10-5. I will even give you a run down of the scores and years that we have played.

2009 San Juan 33 Kanab 13, San Juan 13 Kanab 6
2008 San Juan 22 Kanab 19
2007 San Juan 7 Kanab 27
2004 San Juan 29 Kanab 21
2003 San Juan 20 Kanab 48
2002 San Juan 14 Kanab 36
2001 San Juan 27 Kanab 7
2000 San Juan 43 Kanab 20
1998 San Juan 13 Kanab 3
1996 San Juan 7 Kanab 6
1995 San Juan 28 Kanab 20
1994 San Juan 9 Kanab 14, San Juan 6 Kanab 9
1992 San Juan 37 Kanab 6

There you have it. Oh and Mcallister knows how to beat San Juan? You might want to read the article again.

NOTHING- i love the comment by the v for vendetta person. s sevier will never have football tradition. just cause youve had 1 good year in football its like you think your a tradition program. you s sevier fans should know this! cause you have tradition in b ball. now football is san juan, millard, and n summitt as of late but this yr made me think about it. millard has the most state champs they have tradition and consistant playoff bound. san juan also. im sorry s sevier fans, but maybe if you have a year like this for 3 or 4 straight years will consider you. i promise if people were honest and took a poll of best football tradtion it would go with the most, 1-millard,2-san juan,3 n summitt,4 s summitt. 5,kanab. read the facts people. and san juan wins by 28 also. s sevier just keep bouncing the b ball cause you have it there. not football. 1 year and done. and i would look out for grand in the other game. dont rule them out.

as for that comment that came about the SJ team coming out flat? about 5 or 6 starters on the offense/ defense were suffering from the flu, stetler shumway and holiday were both sick all week long and holiday didnt even practice.

Not taking anything away from Kanab, they played amazing. however SS.... you stand no chance, close games with Kanab, Enterprise and beaver? Sj has played now three close games all year. 1. to a top 5 4a team from Colorado, who is STILL unbeaten, 2. the number 2 team from 2A and then Kanab.

SJ by two TD's
The closes SS has played us in recent years was 05' and it was still 26-7 I believe
South Sevier | 5:37 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
San Juan dont stand a chance agianst the rejuvenated RAMS. Im serious San Juan is going down and there is nothing that can help them. This is the beginning of a new era for the RAMS. Lets show them how to play football.
Bottom Line | 6:00 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
San Juan is not going to win this week!!
