When I read the article I was thinking the training was in Thailand, and wondering "where did they get endowed"? After realizing they went to the Phillipines (which is basically the closest temple) it made more sense. Now I am wondering if the previous missionaries in Thailand were endowed before their missions. I know that historially many missionaries have not been endowed before their missions, but I thought that was a thing of the passed, now I am wondering if it still happenes in some areas.
