This entire PSA series is brilliant, funny, touching, inspiring. The award is nice, but the greatest reward is the change of heart in those who watch these videos. I know I look at my priorities different as the result of seeing these videos.

There is an old adage in marketing. If you can't sell the steak, sell the sizzle. My uncle worked on the first LDS ads touting family and nothing about what Mormonism was about. Why do the hide the steak?

Anonymous @ 12:25 pm. The whole Gospel is about the Savior and Families. The whole Gospel points to, if you follow the Savior, being with your family for Time & All Eternity. The Savior being the only Begotten Son of the Father points to family (Father and Son). We just announced five new temples Their crowning glory is sealing a family together for all eternity.

I could go on for hours on why Families are what Mormonism is about. What I believe you are saying, is you don't believe the steps leading to these blessings of an eternal family. All I can say, is those that truly follow those steps comes a blessing and understanding that truly is for the eternities. The Steak is open for all to try and see. It is up to the individual to reach for it. The missionaries would love to present it to you.

Anon, I don't think they are trying to hide the steak. I think they genuinely want to promote good family bonds.

I just saw this commercial and I think the Savior would have probably done without the sword fighting and all of the explosions.

I really enjoy all the home front spots. We do not have a TV signal any more and when I visit my family in Utah I go to the visitors center in SL and just sit and watch. They are so warm and inviting.

Give me a break. I don't think the Savior has anything against fun adventure movies. And I seem to recall a fair amount of sword fighting in the Book of Mormon . . .

I sincerely hope that any young men who have watched this commerical do not emmulate the knife and sword fighting contained therein. I think the director of this commericial could have been a little more responsible and could have done without the violence.

I thought there were too many explosions and way too many swordfights for this to be a serious endorsement of the sacred importance of family. I was not amused.
