They can cut a LOT of the foolishness they pay for. Cut off lights, turn down heat. Actually have people work instead of standing around. Turn off and take away computer internet access for most of the computers in use. Paper, pencil and phone instead of computer email for most communication.
Turn off car engines when the vehicles are stopped. Especially with cop cars who waste more gas than a sleeping semi-driver.

Good move, Utah County!
Misguided cuts. | 5:36 a.m. Oct. 28, 2009
The kind of cuts city, state and county must make are in social service and education programs for illegal aliens, mostly mexicans. Cutting services to non american illegals would save millions of dollars right off the top. Why is this so hard to enforce? Police, fire, and government offices are more important to citizens than free loading illegals who have and are causing chaos in america. What law says we cannot give any services to illegal aliens? None. We the people have every right to discriminate and deny illegal foreign nationals any privileges or services. That is even in our constitution.

Putting americans out of work is regressive to the economy. Keeping illegal aliens on the payroll of government and business is an economic disaster and why government is being underfunded.

There is a problem with cutting the illegals off the work force. Are you going to do the job they do currently? Now how about for the pay they make? If you can fill every vacancy that would leave with people who will actually work and do the job for their pay then by all means do it. But, I think you would be hard pressed to do it.

We have people lining up right now to do those jobs for the same pay.

They just aren't given the chance.

The argument that Americans won't do those jobs is no longer true.
