I like Trio, great prices, great food, not trying too hard to be over-the-top. And what about Franck's? Faustina? Tiburon? I think we've got WAY more than 20.

Where's Bombay House on the list? A glaring omission!

Tiburon is best place to eat in the valley, and Bombay House should be on the list as well

The problem w/ Zagat is the fact that the results are based on the votes of the people. That sounds good at first glance but I just don't trust my neighbor's taste in food. I am amazed that quite often when we invite friends out to dinner we find out their opinion of fine dining is Olive Garden or Chilli's. We Utahns are often chided by our Californinan friends about our lack of good eateries. Fact is we have plenty, its just that if people don't see one on the corner of every mall parking lot, they assume they can't be very good if they aren't part of a national chain.

What about La Caille? I had always thought this 22 acre estate restaurant was considered top flight for Utah and one of its very finest places to gather, eat, have weddings, etc. How could a place of this calibur fail to make the top 20 list? Does that mean that all 20 of the restaurants that did make the list are considered by the experts and best critics to be superior over La Caille? I think for a lot of people, such a judgement would make this ranking NOT credible and therefore unreliable and of little efficacy. And PS - have you been to Las Vegas lately? Many of those buffets are very pricey, sure it's all you can eat, but some are up to $39.99, plus tax and tip. Others are like $29.99 and don't include any drinks (i.e. softdrinks, juices and alchool). So no, Las Vegas hasn't been a value for eating out in a long time. So much of Vegas has now become high-end, not so affordable. Once the economy improves, you can kiss all those "deals" on room rates goodbye!

Mario, have you eaten at La Caille ? If you like overpriced mediocre food, then La Caille is for you. The rest of us prefer a much better quality of food for our money.
