This film is locally produced, not R-rated, and Vice wrote a negative review of it. That means we'll soon get people saying stuff to the extent of:

"Vice must have seen a different movie than me. I saw a pre-screening of this, and everyone in the theater loved it. It was so refreshing to see something so original and delightful. Yeah, it might not have the budget of some films (because everyone knows that all Vice ever praises is super-high budget stuff like "Fantastic 4"), but it makes up for that with its cleverness. I'll take this over a hundred soulless Hollywood productions any day (but I'll continue to ignore all the far more meaningful and intelligent foreign and independent films that are being produced.)"

Yeah. . . sounds like a real edifying experience. When you don't have any imaginative, uplifting or meaningful story to tell, go for "low-brow" humor.

What are you talking about? Vice's review of F4 "Unfortunately, "Fantastic Four" doesn't come close to living up to the standard set by those films, or to those set by "The Incredibles," is no endorsement and he frequently criticizes big Hollywood productions. I don't always agree with him, but he has never induced a "must of seen a different movie" vibe.

At least he isn't as inexplicably in love with Woody Allen movies like his predecessor.

I was only tempted to see this because it was filmed where I live. But you know I didn't like Napoleon Dynamite and that means I probably won't like this either.
