Stage review: 'Schoolhouse Rock' entertaining fare

I love Schoolhouse Rock! When I was a little girl, I learned the Preamble to the Constitution (which I can still recite to the delight of my husband), Conjunction Function, "Just a Bill" and others. It was an INGENIOUS way of teaching kids some great factoids of American History, English, and Math.

Maybe if we put Math to more music, then our scores would go up!

My family and I saw this last night. All three of us, including my 5-year-old, are ardent fans of Schoolhouse Rock and didn't think our favorite SR cartoons were diminished in any way by seeing them brought to life. My 5-year-old stayed entertained the whole hour and a half. Unfortunately, there were maybe 50 people in the audience. Efforts like this need to be supported by our community!
