Why do we think we have to pick everyone apart because we don't have the same views or values as they do. When are we going to grow up and remember that we are all just human and trying to do the best with the circumstances we find ourselves in. Aren't you glad you don't have someone picking your life apart because they don't agree with you?

We see what happens when someone honest and decent tries to get into the lawyer infested, media enabled political pit bull arena known as D.C. We need to oust ALL of these professional politicians who, unfortunately, were never thought to be a problem by our Founding Fathers thinking and hoping we would know better than to continue to electing these people instead of making them go back to work in their home areas (private sector) and truly being a part of and supporting their own communities. We need term limits on Congress and a better way of deciding on Supreme Court Justices that is interpreted from the Constitution or Amended to it. I wouldn't trust this Legislature or current Executive Branch to do anything responsible of the sort because of the Cap and Trade (Tax and MORE Tax Bill, Nationalized Healthcare with questions from the audience by people already working for POB and ACORN, or even the stewpudd stimulus bills that are, btw, DESTROYING SOCIAL SECURITY, NOT the conservatives).What the placement of Czars has done is show how in touch the Executive Branch is with communism and his actions and statements of "progressivism" means SOCIALISM.

When she mentioned that she had a higher calling to attend to, it means that she is dedicating her time to be a full time mom. She realized that politics is just a dirty scuzzy business to be in and she has determined that she is better than that. Right now her children need her more than anybody else needs her. I commend her for her decision. She will still find to be an activist for some cause or another.

Both parties are dead. Our nation will not survive if we are still entrenched in this 2 party system any longer. When analyzed, there is really no difference right now between either party and the career politicians that can't function in this life doing anything else.

Gov. Palin did the right thing, to return to her home and raise her family. There is no higher calling than to be a good mom. All conservatives, especially the LDS family folks, should support her in this. Insist she do the right thing and focus on the family instead of making more money or staying in the public eye. It is about doing the right thing, and no about herself, she will recommit herself to raising a good family. This is especially true as her husband is known to go out on fishing expeditions and work on the North Slope for extended periods of time. She needs to be at home, as all good Christians will acknowledge. One cannot serve two masters.

For those who think she's decided to stay home and raise her family, when did she say that? She's being uber-vague about why she is leaving.

While I agree that being a mom to her family (that clearly need a mom, I might add) is a good move, she still had a committment to the people that voted her into office. It is not right to shirk on that duty, regardless of any other duty she may have.

Her family will still be there in two years, and her husband could always stay home with the kids.

So how can you applaud her decision to shirk on her duty?

We need someone to help us fight against the Republicans and the Democrats. Both parties are corrupt and do not represent the real America. We need to break up the old school politics. Palin could be an anti Pelosi and an anti-McCain.

This is the most positive development in American politics in the last decade. It is time the Republican party shook itself away from radical conservatism, Karl Rove tactics and Christian fundamentalism and returned to moderate politics.

That's exactly what we want you to think. The GOP has been declared dead before (like when Clinton won his first term). Remember what happened after that? The people were so fed up with this joker that they elected GW Bush - TWICE!

That's OK, you Dems go ahead and take your eye off the ball. Get complacent and keep taking us further to the left.

From my Salt Lake house, I am able to see Jupiter, the moon, and Venezuela. Should I ran for office? Should that make me qualify. Hey I also do not read news papers and I only get my news from Fox. Palin running for higher office? it is a suicidal thought for the Republican party.
