A Salt Lake man accused of wounding another man in the back in a drive-by shooting was charged Monday.

Clayton Satterwhite, 21, allegedly drove up to a residence near 3200 South and 3700 West in West Valley City where three men were sitting outside, demanded to know who a man named Anthony was, and then shot at all three, according to charges filed in 3rd District Court.

Satterwhite had been at a party earlier when a woman fought over the phone with her ex-boyfriend, Anthony Widner. Satterwhite yelled at Widner over the phone, then followed the woman to Widner's residence, the charges state.

Ramon Cespedes, who was with Widner at the residence, was shot several times in the lower back and later taken to Intermountain Medical Center for treatment.

Satterwhite was charged with discharging a firearm with serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony, and three counts of aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.
