Voters can cast their ballots in Tuesday's statewide municipal general election from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at local polling locations

A new state law requires all voters to provide identification before a ballot can be issued. Acceptable forms of ID include a Utah driver's license, an identification card issued by the state or any federal agency, a passport, a Utah concealed-weapons permit or a tribal identification card (with or without a photo.)

Some documents can be substituted in lieu of ID to provide evidence that a voter resides within the polling precinct. A complete list of those documents can be found on the state's election Web site at www.elections.utah.gov.

Information on polling locations is also available on the site or by calling your local city recorder's office.
