The Salt Lake County Library Board has settled on a name for its new branch at 27th West and 49th South. It will be the Park Library, named for the fact that it will be within the new Valley Regional Park.

"It's a very descriptive name," said Library System Director Eileen Longsworth, "and besides, we think that's what people will call it."She said that after the Deseret News and KALL Radio radio publicized the search for names, one person called to suggest naming it the Constitution Branch.

Construction bids will be solicited in January, and the 12,000-square-foot facility should be ready for operation by the end of 1989, Longsworth said.
