Police were investigating the death of a Colorado woman whose decapitated body was found at the Union Pacific railroad tracks Saturday in Salt Lake City.

The woman was found next to some railroad tracks near 50 S. Seventh West early Saturday afternoon, Salt Lake homicide detective Sgt. Don Bell said. She was lying face down and had been decapitated by a train that passed through the area about 11:45 a.m."There doesn't appear to be any foul play involved," Bell said. "It's a possible accident or a suicide."

From identification found on the 37-year-old woman, he said it is known that she recently stayed at one of the shelters and also has an arrest record. Her name was not released, pending notification of relatives.
